Mobilizating Candidates to Worksites

Six major stages can be identified during the mobilization prodedures, although each successive stages start before the previous one has been concluded. These six stages are: medical examination, documentation, visa processing, orientation, ticketing and embarkation (see above table).

The mobilization procedures begin upon client authorization to recruit. The worker is required to have medical check up. During the selection process the worker is given a physical check-up, but the medical examination is more thorough, involving x-ray and laboratory analysis.

Documentation requires Shebah to ensure worker's passports are valid, medical and police clearance certificates are obtained, and labour department regulations complied with.

Visa processing - perhaps the one stage which is the most time consuming since Shebah is totally dependent upon outside authorities require approval from foreign ministries in country of deployment, close coordination with the client is an imperative during visa processing, to keep the client informed of progress and any possible delays which might arise whilst awaiting visa approval. However, once granted, orientation at the labour ministry's office takes place.

Orientation of workers is undertaken by Maensri Professional Development and Language School and by the Department of Labour. The workers are given appraisal of jobsite conditions, their wages and employment contract, the cultural background of the country in which they will work, and the law and regulations which they shall strictly abide.

Flight reservations and ticketing arrangements are initiated by our ticketing division. Once confirmed, flight schedule and itineraries are communicated to our clients.

Embarkation at airport point of departure is supervised by Shebah to assist the workers with any unforeseen, last minute problems which may arise. Workers will normally assemble at our school on the day of departure, and are transported to the airport for group check-in. Immigration formalities are observed by the Shebah's group supervisor to ensure smooth embarkation.
